what the ocean was doing in june
Bit of a strange month in June. Some storms out in the Pacific had a bit of an effect on the diving conditions. Although still great, the visibility and temperature were not as amazing as we would normally expect for this time of year. Surface temperature was great at around 28oC/82oF, whereas the water below 12m/40ft was slightly cooler at around 25oC/77oF. Visibility also slightly diminished and above 12m/40ft of depth visibility was around 10-12m/32-40ft, and in the murkier stuff visibility was around 6-9m/20-30ft. Despite the slight drop in temperature and visibility, nothing detracted from the amazing dives had by all the One Lovers. Sharks on every dive, vast numbers and crazy sized schools of numerous fish species. A great month of diving at the Catalinas. One love
